Hildewintera Hybrid 'Rosa Bubi'
Specimen Size: 16" tall by 2" in diameter.
Hildewintera hybrid 'Rosa Bubi' has a 3 to 4" diameter bloom, long flower tube with short inner petals colored white with a faint peach-tan overlay, 3 rows, ruffled petal edges, pinched petal tips. Outer petals are longer, off-white, darker peach-salmon overlay, brownish-maroon mid stripe. Back petals are narrow, long, bronze to copper colored. Stamens are white to off white colored, anthers are dusky pink colored. Throat is greenish to chartreuse colored. (Hybridizers # BUM 520-2). Hybridized by Dr. Irmfried Buchmann.
Growth: Stem growth averages 2" in diameter, dark green stem growth with brownish-copper colored spines, yellowish spines on new growth near top-apex. Can grow fairly tall 3' to 4' in correct conditions with very narrow columnar stem growth. Produces a few pups or offsets naturally on its own, usually from the base growth.
Notes : Blooms profusely once stem growth reaches 18" to 2'+ tall.
